2 people, including a 3-month-old infant, died from amoebic meningoencephalitis at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, Kerala, raising the state’s August toll to three. The infant, from Omassery, had been under treatment for a month. The other victim, 52-yr-old Ramla from Malappuram, fell ill in July and was shifted to the hospital as her condition worsened.
