Cyclone Fengal Effect: Puducherry Records Highest Rainfall In 30 Years

Puducherry recorded highest rainfall in 30 years. It recorded 46 cm of rain, surpassing the 21 cm recorded on October 31, 2004. Other regions also witnessed significant rainfall due to cyclone fengal. Chennai Airport received 14 cm rainfall, Yercaud 14 cm, Chennai (Meenambakkam) 11 cm, Chennai (Nungambakkam) 10 cm, Vellore 11 cm, Tirupattur 8 cm, Dharmapuri and Salem each recorded 5 cm.
