With Air Marshal AP Singh appointed as the next Chief of Air Staff by the Defence Ministry, 2 coursemates and 2 classmates will now lead the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Both he and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi graduated together from the National Defence Academy in 1983, while Dwivedi and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi were classmates at Sainik School.
