Kolkata: Sealdah Division Adds Trains To Handle Passenger Rush

The Sealdah Railway Division will introduce new trains and extra rakes to manage rising passenger traffic after the East-West Metro’s Green Line launch. Daily footfall in the division exceeds 15 lakh, with Sealdah and Dum Dum stations alone seeing 50,000 more commuters each. Services are being realigned to ease congestion.
