Trump Appoints Harmeet Dhillon To Lead Civil Rights Efforts

US President-elect Donald Trump nominated Indian-American Harmeet K. Dhillon as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights. Dhillon, known for defending civil liberties and challenging big tech, was praised for her work in election law and advocating constitutional rights. A Dartmouth and UVA Law graduate, Dhillon also faced racial attacks after speaking at the 2023 GOP Convention.
