The Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union filed a petition in the High Court, urging regulation of taxi fares by app-based aggregators. Citing arbitrary pricing, they demanded uniform fares, mandatory taximeters, and a transparent grievance redressal system. Justice K Sarath heard the plea and issued a notice to the state government for response.
