Former Sports Journalists Federation of India President S Sabanayakan has been elected to the AIPS Executive Committee at its 88th Congress in Lausanne. He becomes the first Indian in the role. Italy’s Gianni Merlo retained presidency. AIPS Asia vice-president, Sabanayakan began his journey in 2009 and currently serves as sports editor of Eastern Chronicle.
