SC To Deliver Verdict On Aligarh Muslim University’s Minority Status

Supreme Court is set to deliver its verdict on whether Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in Uttar Pradesh holds minority status under Article 30 of the Constitution, which allows minorities to establish and manage educational institutions. The judgment, to be announced on Friday, follows hearings on a case stemming from a 2006 Allahabad High Court ruling that denied AMU minority status.
