IIT Kanpur Cancels UP Cop’s PhD Amid Rape Case Investigation

IIT Kanpur has cancelled Uttar Pradesh Police officer Mohammad Mohsin Khan’s PhD programme amid rape charges from a research scholar. Khan, pursuing a PhD in cybercrime, was accused of exploiting the scholar on the pretext of marriage. The decision followed approval from the UP DGP’s office. A SIT is investigating the case.
