1.1 Billion People In Acute Poverty: UN Report

A UN report reveals that over 1.1 billion people worldwide live in extreme poverty, with children accounting for more than half. Conflict-affected countries face poverty rates three times higher, with 455 million people struggling in war zones. Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia house 83.2% of the world’s poorest. India, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and the Congo contribute nearly half of this total.
