The Odisha government sanctioned over ₹4.65 crore compensation for families affected by December 2025 Malkangiri clashes, including ₹20 lakh for a tribal woman’s next of kin. Around 200 houses and shops were damaged. Malkangiri Bengali Samaj contributed ₹1.1 crore to victims and ₹1 lakh to the deceased woman’s family, promoting harmony in the district.
