Vaishno Devi Yatra Suspended Amid Severe Weather Warning

The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has temporarily halted pilgrimages from October 5 to 7 due to a severe weather alert issued by IMD. The shrine, perched on the Trikuta hills, sees thousands of devotees daily. The Board (SMVDSB) cited risks of landslides, flooding, and cloudbursts. Yatra resumes October 8.
