Indian Youth Sentenced To Death In Saudi Arabia

Zaid, a 35-year-old from Meerut, has been sentenced to death by a Saudi Arabian court in a drug smuggling case. Arrested in January 2023, Zaid had moved to Saudi for work but was later jailed in Jeddah. The Meerut police, informed via Interpol, notified Zaid’s family. They have the option to file a mercy petition. Saudi Arabia still enforces death penalties for severe drug offenses.
