Jharkhand Phase-1 Elections: 43 Seats Voting Today

Voting for Phase 1 of the Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held today, with 43 out of 81 seats up for grabs. Polling will run from 7 am to 5 pm across 15 districts. The ruling JMM has fielded 23 candidates, while Congress and RJD have 17 and 5 candidates, respectively. The BJP has 36 candidates. By-elections are also being held for 31 assembly seats and the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat.
