Australia’s Newcastle Port Reopens After Climate Protest

Australia’s largest coal export port has reopened after climate activists halted operations at the Port of Newcastle. The group Rising Tide said hundreds of protesters paddled kayaks into the harbor’s shipping lane, breaching the exclusion zone. Port operators confirmed that vessel movements have now safely resumed.
