Political Ads To Be Taken Down, Says Election Commission

The EC today ordered the immediate removal of political ads from TV and online platforms ahead of the April 9 Kerala Assembly polls. Campaigning, media interactions, and election-related content are prohibited during the silence period. Violations of the Model Code of Conduct may attract strict penal action under the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
