CBI Arrests Two Income Tax Employees In Assam In Bribery Case

The CBI has arrested two Income Tax Department employees in Silchar, Assam, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000. The accused, Swapan and Dipti, were caught during a sting operation after they requested a total bribe of Rs 10,000 to close a PAN card issue. Following the arrests, the CBI conducted searches at their residences as part of the ongoing investigation.
