Center Reimposes AFSPA In 6 Areas Of Manipur

Centre reimposed Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act in Manipur’s six police station areas, including violence-hit Jiribam. Under the act, an area is declared as “disturbed” for security forces to operate conveniently. Areas where AFSPA was reimposed are Sekmai and Lamsang in Imphal West district, Lamlai in Imphal East district, Jiribam, Leimakhong in Kangpokpi and Moirang in Bishnupur.
