The Union Cabinet approved a Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) of ₹1,865.68 crore for 10,91,146 railway employees, covering 78 days. This bonus is paid annually before Durga Puja/Dasara holidays to reward employee performance and boost morale. Last year, ₹2,028.57 crore was disbursed to 11,72,240 employees, reflecting continued government support.
