Kolkata Metro services on the North-South corridor were disrupted for 20 minutes today after a 40-year-old woman attempted suicide at Kalighat station. The motorman stopped the train in time, rescuing her. She was hospitalized. Truncated services ran from Maidan to Dakshineswar and Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Sahid Khudiram, resuming normalcy at 1:29 PM.
