A significant study by the Indian Council of Medical Research reveals that one in seven stroke patients in India is below 45 years of age. Alarmingly, over half either die or face severe disability within 3 months. The findings also show higher rates of hypertension and diabetes among women, while men exhibit greater tobacco and alcohol use as risk factors.
