The Maharashtra govt has allocated ₹1,500 crore to compensate farmers in Marathwada who suffered crop losses from heavy rains between May and August. The disbursal process has begun, with funds to be directly credited to affected farmers’ accounts. Officials have been instructed to promptly upload the lists of eligible beneficiaries, said Jitendra Papalkar.
