The vehicle, heading from Pune to Kolhapur, was stopped for inspection, leading to detention of 4, including Shahaji Nalawade, linked to Shiv Sena MLA Shahajibapu Patil. Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut alleged the car belonged to a Shinde faction MLA and claimed ₹15 crore was actually seized.
