The shoot for the Telugu film ‘Fauji’, starring superstar Prabhas and actress Imanvi, has officially begun in Madurai. Veteran actress Jaya Prada has also joined the cast, adding to the excitement of the project. Currently, the first-day shoot is taking place, with the entire team assembled in the district.
Prabhas plays a soldier in the British Army set against the backdrop of 1945, while Imanvi makes her acting debut in this historical drama. Notably, due to Prabhas’ busy schedule, which includes shooting for the horror-comedy ‘The RajaSaab’, some sequences are being filmed without him.
The film features Mithun Chakraborty in a significant role as Prabhas’ father. The music for ‘Fauji’ is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, and the project is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. There are rumors that Prabhas’ first look will be revealed during Dussehra.
Jaya Prada, a prominent figure in Indian cinema during the 70s and 80s, is known for her work across various languages. Her illustrious career includes acclaimed films like ‘Sargam’ and ‘Sharaabi’. In her personal life, she married producer Srikanth Nahata in 1986, which sparked controversy due to his previous marriage. Director Satyajit Ray once praised her as one of the prettiest women in the world.
