According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), combatants from their infantry brigade combat team, the Bisla’h, and fighters from the 636th special forces battalion found terrorists carrying shoulder-fired missiles in the Shejaiya region. The brigade flew the planes that took out the terrorists. More evidence was found to support the theory that terrorists had hidden their activities in UN and school buildings. During an operation by the Brigade Combat Team (special forces) of the 460th armored brigade in the Jabaliya region, fighters found explosive charges, a Kalashnikov and an RPG concealed in bags, and UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) in bags inside a house. Moreover, a car filled with long-range missiles was parked close to a nearby school. In addition, during searches to remove bombs and IEDs (improvised explosive devices) from the area in Jabaliya, the reserve fighters of the 551st infantry brigade found a lathe used for weapon production and a rocket launch site used by the terrorist organization Hamas, complete with about 50 launchers, some of which were loaded and ready for takeoff. Furthermore, the IDF reported that throughout the course of the day prior, Israel Air Force aircraft piloted by field soldiers killed numerous terrorists. Members of the 7th Armoured Brigade noticed armed terrorists coming out of a clinic and gave the order for an aircraft to shoot them.
