Wanted for the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, Rana, a Canadian of Pakistani origin, filed a final petition after losing in lower and federal courts. This marks his last legal attempt to block extradition.
A third soldier, Ishwar Talia, succumbed to injuries from a Mahajan field firing range incident in Bikaner, where a tank charger exploded during a training exercise.
