Elon Musk is projected to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027, according to a report from Informa Connect Academy. His wealth is currently estimated at approximately $251 billion, reflecting an impressive annual growth rate of 110%. This rapid increase is largely attributed to his significant stakes in Tesla and SpaceX, both of which have shown remarkable performance in the market.
Following Musk, Indian industrialist Gautam Adani is expected to be the second individual to reach trillionaire status, potentially achieving this milestone by 2028, assuming his wealth continues to grow at a remarkable rate of 123% per year. Other notable billionaires who may join the trillionaire club include Nvidia founder Jensen Huang and Indonesian entrepreneur Prajogo Pangestu, both projected to reach this level by 2028, along with Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg and LVMH’s Bernard Arnault, who are anticipated to cross the threshold by 2030.
The report also highlights a broader trend of wealth accumulation in India, where the combined wealth of the country’s richest individuals has surpassed $1 trillion, with 185 dollar billionaires contributing to this total.
