Tech Firm Claims Kamala Harris’s Debate Earring Resembles Its Bluetooth Device

The intense US presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump captured widespread attention on social media, with reactions from the public, Taylor Swift, and Elon Musk. Nielsen reported 67.1 million TV viewers.
Subsequently, a conspiracy theory emerged, primarily among Trump supporters, suggesting that Harris used clip-on audio headphones disguised as pearl earrings. Speculation centered on whether her earrings were actually Icebach Sound Solutions’ Nova H1 Audio Earrings, a Bluetooth device designed to resemble jewelry.
In a statement that added to the speculation, Icebach’s managing director, Malte Iversen, told Tom’s Guide, “We do not know if Mrs. Harris wore one of our products, but the resemblance is striking.”
He also humorously proposed creating a male version of the device for Trump, noting that the color orange presented a design challenge. Despite the viral claims, experts and fact-checkers have confirmed that Kamala Harris’s earrings are the Double Pearl Hinged Earrings from Tiffany & Co., valued at around $800.
These earrings differ significantly from Icebach’s Bluetooth devices, which cost approximately $625. Harris has criticized Bluetooth earpieces as a security risk and has used wired earbuds during her campaign.
The speculation around her jewelry underscores the intense scrutiny and mistrust often seen in political debates. Similar conspiracy theories emerged on social media during the 2020 and 2016 election cycles, alleging that Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton used earpieces during their debates with Trump.
In response to the recent rumors, Icebach Sound Solutions announced plans to address the issue on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The company, which has received numerous interview requests since the debate, chose Fallon for the live interview, citing him as a “trusted Bavarian at heart.”
It appears Donald Trump may not need the earpiece offer, as he has already declined to participate in another debate with Kamala Harris. “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” the former president declared on the social media platform Truth Social.
