Swimming Expedition To Islands Named After Param Vir Chakra Recipients Begins

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh flagged in a first-of-its-kind open-water swimming expedition to 21 islands in the Andaman & Nicobar archipelago, named after Param Vir Chakra awardees. Launched by the Tri-Service Andaman & Nicobar Command, the team swam over 300 kilometers, unfurling the national flag at each island. The expedition lasted five months and culminated on Aug 15.
