The Supreme Court has expressed concern over recent floods and landslides in states like Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttarakhand, attributing them to illegal tree felling. The court made key observations and issued notices to the Centre, stating that unchecked deforestation is contributing to disasters and urging immediate accountability.

Farmers across Telangana continue to face a severe shortage of urea. Despite long waits at societies and agriculture centers, many report not receiving even a single bag. The crisis is intense in Medak, Nizamabad, Jagityal, and Karimnagar districts. A distressed farmer in Nizamabad said, “If not urea, give us insecticide- we’ll die drinking it.”
