Rich tributes were paid to the former AP CM Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, popularly known as YSR, on his 15th death anniversary on Monday, September 2, 2024.
Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR), former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, served from 2004 to 2009. Known for his focus on welfare, he implemented significant schemes.
YSR’s tenure was marked by efforts in rural development, healthcare, and infrastructure. His leadership was instrumental in improving agricultural output and enhancing social welfare programs.
He tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in 2009, but his legacy continues to influence Andhra Pradesh’s policies and development strategies.
Across Andhra Pradesh, numerous events were held to commemorate his memory. Leaders from the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), family members, and supporters gathered at various locations to pay homage.
Dr. YSR’s commitment to public service earned him admiration and respect from all sections of society. As the state reflects on his legacy, his contributions to Andhra Pradesh remain a source of inspiration for many. Special prayers and floral tributes were offered at his memorials.
