Kodi Katthi and Stone Attack : Public Reaction towards Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Injuries

In October 2018, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was injured by a Kodi Katthi attack, which triggered a panic-stricken response from the public. The incident, which occurred in broad daylight, led to widespread sympathy for Reddy. However, the public’s initial reaction to the recent stone attack in Vijayawada has been mixed.

Reddy suffered an injury above his left eyebrow when an unidentified person threw a stone at him during a poll rally in Vijayawada. The incident has sparked a debate about the attack’s timing, which occurred just before the election, similar to the Kodi Katthi incident in 2018.

YCP leaders, including Ambati Rambabu and Vellampalli Srinivas, immediately blamed Chandrababu and Telugu Desam for the attack, claiming that the opposition leader was unable to bear the public reception that Reddy was receiving. However, this accusation has not been well-received by the public, with many viewing it as a politically motivated attempt to garner sympathy before the polls.
