On Thursday, authorities said that the Delhi Police Special Cell had apprehended two individuals involved in the gun trade and taken ten semi-automatic pistols from them. The two gun smugglers were taken into custody on MB Road, Badarpur, in the nation’s capital, according to the information provided by Delhi Police. In the last few months, Delhi Police has taken action against a weapons racket on multiple occasions. Two female gun traffickers were apprehended earlier in October when a Special Cell squad dismantled an interstate firearms conspiracy. Chanchal and Vikansha, two Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, residents, were identified as the apprehended women traffickers by Delhi Police, who also stated that ten firearms had been taken from them. Special Cell Southern Range (SR) has received information indicating that sophisticated weaponry is being acquired by hardened criminals and gangsters in Delhi/NCR from arms sources located in MP. In an attempt to identify these arms smugglers, this information was investigated further. Near the intersection of MB Road and Surajkund Road, Chanchal and Vikansha were observed with bags in their hands at approximately 9:40 p.m., according to HGS Dhaliwal, Special CP, Special Cell.
