A photographer inadvertently brought a new moth species to UK in her suitcase, having traveled over 7,000 km from South America. The clearwing moth, named Carmenta brachyclados, emerged from larvae that hatched during the journey. Young ecologist Daisy Cadet found the moths in her mother’s home, initially mistaking them for a common UK species.
