A recent study published in “Nature” suggests multiple asteroid impacts contributed to the dinosaurs’ extinction 66 million years ago. Researchers from Heriot-Watt University discovered the Nader Crater off Guinea, formed by a smaller asteroid. This crater, measuring over 5 and 1/2 miles wide, may have created a combined catastrophic effect alongside the Chicxulub impact, reshaping extinction theories.
