Japan Launches Defense Satellite On H3 Rocket Amid Regional Tensions

Japan successfully launched a defense satellite for information-gathering and military operations on its new H3 rocket on Monday, amid rising regional tensions. The H3 No. 4 rocket lifted off from the Tanegashima Space Center, with the satellite successfully separating approximately 30 minutes after liftoff, according to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) during a livestream of the event.
