AP Govt Shuts Down ShapNet, Transfers Functions To Higher Education Council

The govt of Andhra Pradesh has issued an order to shut down the Society for AP Network (ShapNet). Staff, assets, and liabilities have been transferred to the AP Higher Education Council. Established by the TDP govt in 2018, ShapNet contributed to the education sector through ‘Mana TV.’ The govt has decided to focus on serving the education sector effectively through the education board.
