NASA Plans To Lay Gas Pipeline On Moon’s South Pole

NASA plans to implement the Lunar South Pole Oxygen Pipeline (L-SPoP) to support the Artemis program. The 5-kilometer pipeline will transport oxygen from extraction sites to storage, reducing transportation costs and risks. Constructed using lunar aluminum, it aims to create sustainable infrastructure for a permanent human presence on the Moon, supporting future deep space exploration.
