Nobel Committee Confirms Dec 10 Ceremony For Peace Prize

The Nobel Peace Prize, awarded to María Corina Machado this year, will be formally presented on December 10 by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. This year saw 338 nominations, including 244 individuals and 94 organizations. It was officially made by Jorgen Watne Frydnes, chairman of the five-member committee overseeing the prestigious recognition.
