Thane Deploys AI X-Rays To Detect TB In 14,000+ People

Over 14,000 people in Thane, Maharashtra, have been screened for tuberculosis using AI-based handheld X-ray machines. Mobile units reached villages, detecting 2,493 suspected TB cases last year. Badlapur, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Murbad, and Shahapur saw active screening, with AI enabling faster detection and immediate care, including for drug-resistant TB patients.
