HAL, GE Ink Pact For 113 F404 Engines To Power Tejas Mk1A Jets

HAL has signed an agreement with US firm General Electric to supply 113 F404 engines for 97 Tejas Mk1A fighter jets, boosting the Indian Air Force’s fleet. Deliveries begin in 2027. The ₹62,370 crore deal strengthens India’s self-reliance drive with advanced indigenous systems like the Uttam AESA radar.
