TRAI Plans Key Rules For Foreign SIM Providers

TRAI has highlighted the need to regulate SIM sales by foreign telecom operators, proposing a new category called International M2M SIM Service Authorization. It suggested zero charges for entry fee, net worth, bank guarantee, and authorization. However, TRAI recommended an application processing fee of ₹5,000 to streamline approvals while ensuring oversight.
