BHIM App Introduces Biometric UPI Payments Up To ₹5,000

NPCI’s BHIM App now allows biometric authentication for UPI payments up to ₹5,000, enabling users to approve transactions via fingerprint or face recognition. This reduces reliance on UPI PINs, prevents failed payments, and enhances security. Lalitha Nataraj, MD & CEO of NBSL, said the feature makes digital payments faster, convenient, and safe.
