Meta Removes Over 2 Million Accounts Linked To Global Scams

Meta has removed over 2 million accounts linked to scam centres in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, the UAE & the Philippines. Company is targeting criminal organizations behind “pig butchering” and other fraudulent schemes that deceive people globally through messaging, dating, social media, and crypto apps. Meta has partnered with law enforcement & other private sector entities to combat these scams.
