Japanese Researchers Develop Device To Assist Robot-Assisted Surgery

A team of Japanese researchers has developed a device to assist surgeons during robot-assisted heart surgeries. Traditionally, an assistant helps position the robot arm and ensures the surgeon has enough room to operate. The new device, created by an Osaka Metropolitan University-led group, aims to provide greater independence for surgeons, improving surgical efficiency.
