The ICC has replaced Bangladesh with Scotland in the T20 World Cup after Bangladesh refused to travel to India, citing security concerns. ICC officials informed the BCB by email. Scotland will play four group matches against West Indies, Italy, England, and Nepal in Kolkata and Mumbai from February 7 to 17.
The BCCI will remove the A-plus central contract category, secretary Devajit Saikia said. He explained that players must play all three formats to qualify. With Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja retiring from some formats, only Jasprit Bumrah meets the criteria. The A-plus category paid ₹7 crore annually.
