New Zealand’s newly-appointed Test captain Tom Latham expressed excitement about transitioning from a “caretaker” role to a full-time leader, allowing him to implement his own style. Latham, who has previously captained the Black Caps in nine matches, succeeds Tim Southee, who stepped down last week. He will lead a 15-member squad to India for a three-match series starting October 16.
