Mumbai Indians Appoint Mahela Jayawardene As Head Coach

Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians have appointed former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene as head coach ahead of the mega auction. Jayawardene previously held this position from 2017 to 2022, leading the team to title victories in 2017, 2019, and 2020-21. He replaces Mark Boucher, who coached the team for two years. MI finished last in the 2023 season.
