World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, 27, from Belarus, defeated Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 7-6 (7/3) to win her second consecutive US Open title at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Exploiting Anisimova’s weak serve, Sabalenka dominated the match. She becomes the first woman since Serena Williams over a decade ago to win back-to-back US Open championships.
