Rishabh Pant’s release by Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of the IPL 2025 was partly due to his desire to test the market for a higher salary, according to new head coach Hemang Badani. Pant expressed his wish to explore better financial opportunities, which led to his Rs 27 crore deal with Lucknow Super Giants. DC co-owner Parth Jindal also mentioned differences over coaching appointments.
